Fedde Le Grand (born 7 September 1977 in Utrecht) is a Dutch house DJ and producer. He is best known for his chart-topping 2006 song 'Put Your Hands Up 4 Detroit'. Le Grand is a perennial headliner at renowned EDM festivals such as Ultra Music Festival and Tomorrowland and for the majority of the year tours internationally at major night clubs. Le Grand is also known for his remixes of popular artists such as Coldplay, Michael Jackson, Shakira, Rihanna, Mariah Carey, Timeflies, Naughty Boy, and Martin Solveig.
Biography
Fedde is a co-founders (alongside Funkerman and Raf Jansen) of Flamingo Recordings and hosts a weekly radio show called Darklight Sessions that airs every Friday on satellite radio and features many of the Flamingo releases.
He has played a pivotal role in the careers of talents such as Nicky Romero, Deniz Koyu and Danny Avila. In recent years he has intensified his commitment to discovering new talents in the EDM world. He has brought to light emerging artists like Holl & Rush, John Dish, dBerrie, Jewelz & Sparks, Merk & Kremont, Mike Lucas and Simon Beta (also known as Doctors in Florence) and many others.[citation needed] Career
On 12 January 2015 Fedde released the instrumental mix of 'Tales of Tomorrow' on Darklight Recordings; it featured collaboration with Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike. The vocal mix features English singer-songwriter Julian Perretta.
26 February 2016 saw the release of Fedde's second full-length studio album, Something Real. The fourteen track compilation showcased recordings that had a significantly larger degree of pop influence than his previous 'funk'-focused album, Output. The album also featured songs he had been sampling over the past few years during his festival sets.
The single 'Put Your Hands Up For Detroit' (UK/US) / 'Put Your Hands Up 4 Detroit' (Europe, excluding the UK) reached the top five on the Dutch Top 40, number one in the United Kingdom and spent five weeks on the dance charts in Spain.
